From the Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Miss., Feb. 3, 1961, p. 2:

Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta Addkison Reagen, 84, member of prominent pioneer Jackson families, will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. from Wright and Ferguson chapel, with the Rev. Sam Ashmore and the Rev. O. S. Lewis officiating. She died Wednesday morning in Anaheim, Calif., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alberta Carlson, where she had lived for the past 11 years. Her body will arrive in Jackson Saturday at 1:05 a.m.

Mrs. Reagen, whose first husband was the late Rev. John Tillery Lewis, a well-known religious leader and a Methodist minister in the North Mississippi Conference, was a native of Jackson and the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Sarah Catherine Neely Addkison. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Carlson of Anaheim; two sons, John T. Lewis of Jackson, and the Rev. Henry B. Lewis of Durham, N.C.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Interment will be made in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be H. Muller Addkison, Sr., H. Muller Addkison, Jr., W. L. Addkison, Stewart Addkison, R. H. Bullard and the Rev. Andrew H. Bullard.
