John Tillery Lewis Jr., 78, 5197 Barrier Place, died Saturday at Hinds General Hospital. Services are 2 p.m. today at Baldwin, Lee and Barnes Southwest Chapel with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park.
A native of Webb, he had lived in Jackson for 42 years. He was a charter member of Forest Hill United Methodist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Northwest Civitan Club. He retired in 1982 after 25 years with Ryan Supply Co. He is survived by his wife, Jewel Parkmon Lewis; sons, Dr. John Tillery Lewis III of Carrollton, Ga., and James Lewis of Ruston, La.; a daughter, Jo Ann Heiden of Hattiesburg; a brother, the Rev. H. B. Lewis of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Alberta Calson of Lake Head, Calif.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
