The couple had seven children, five daughters and two sons, namely:

Katharina Fiock [listed erroneously as Catherina Feyook], age 22; her husband, Phillipp, age 32; their daughter, Katharina, age 3; and their son, Frederick, age 2, emigrated from Germany to America in 1837. They settled first in Pennsylvania and, in the mid 1840s, moved on to Iowa where they were found on the 1850 Census in Dubuque County. Katharina's husband, Phillip, died there in 1853.
Katharina married Conrad Knackstedt in 1857; the marriage ended between 1870 and 1880, either by his death or by divorce; they had no children together. The couple appeared on the 1860 Census as "Nockted" and on the 1870 Census as "Kunksted", both in Jefferson, Dubuque County, Iowa. On the 1880 Census, Meguon, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, "Catherine Knockstek" appeared in the household of her son-in-law and her youngest daughter, John and Louise Stark.
