Funeral services for Deborah Toney Addison, 50, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 19, 2003, at Antioch Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Young & Young Funeral Home.

Mrs. Addison died Sunday, Dec. 14, at her residence after an illness. She was born in New York, N.Y., a daughter of the late Eddie and Corina Phillips. She attended the public schools of Lee County and was a graduate of Bishopville High School. Mrs. Addison received her CNA at Florence–Darlington Technical College. She pursued a career in nursing at the Thad Saleeby Development Center in Hartsville and McLeod Hospital in Florence, until her health failed. She attended Antioch Baptist Church at an early age and served in many capacities. She later accepted Christ, Lord and Savior of her life.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles Addison; her sister, Lois Campbell; her brother and his wife, Elmore and Claratta Phillips.

Her surviving family members are two sons, Monte Toney of Manning and Orintha Reames of Bishopville; four brothers, Maxie (Mary) Phillips of Charlotte, N.C., Cornelius (Sarah) Phillips of Hartsville, Charlie Toney of Columbia and Renoldo Toney of Converse, Texas; four sisters, Margie Shields of Bronx, N.Y., Ella (Laben) Sitgraves of Rock Hill, Regina Toney of Bloomfield, N.J., Geraldine Toney of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; grandmother, Sarah Toney of Manhattan, N.Y.; two special nephews, Chuckie (Sherry) Campbell, Marquis Johnson; one special niece, Deloris Phillips; five grandchildren, Kara Olintha, Tija, Dazani, Courtney and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
