Mrs. Hanna who lived at 420 N. Seventh St., died of old age infirmities at 5:15 a.m. Saturday in an Alton hospital (Alton State Hospital). She was in ill health (for) four years.
She was born in Olney, Ill., and came to East St. Louis when she was 3 years old. Her husband Charles Hanna died in 1904.
Survivors include one son Trainor E. Hanna of St. Louis, one sister Mrs. Minnie McCarthy of East St. Louis, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

~ She ran the "Hanna" Hotel in E. St. Louis, IL on 2nd & Trendley Avenue; it was for the Illinois Central Railroad Round House Crews. This wasn't an actual "hotel" but their home which the rooms were rented to crews on lay-over.
