Adam Kembel
WORDEN, MT. ---- Fishing and card playing were favorite pastimes of Adam Kembel, who farmed at Huntley Project from 1948 until 1977.
He died at age 63 Monday in Billings Deaconess Hospital.
Mr. Kembel was a past commander of Huntley Project Veterans of Foreign Wars and a former director of Yellowstone Woolgrowers Association.
Born in Fromberg, a son of Jacob and Mary Kembel, he attended Laurel schools.
He served in the Army in World War II.
In 1938 he married Olinda Prop in Billings, MT.; she died in November 1962.
Mr. Kembel married Iren Rudio on Jan. 20, 1964, in Billings.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ron of Billings; three daughters, Mrs. Allen (Karen) Dawson of Bozeman, MT., Mrs. Ed (Sandra) Bacon of Dayton, MT., and Mrs. Melvin (Phyllis) Kostelecky of Rapelje, MT.; four brothers, Carl, Clarence, Raymond, and Reinhold; two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Pauline) Staley and Mrs. Mary Evans all of Billings; and seven grandchildren.
Smith Downtown Chapel is in charge.
