FROM THE JAMESTOWN POST-JOURNAL:

Harold B. Zimmerman, 38, Warren Road, Frewsburg, a World War II veteran, died at 11 A.M. Monday (April 17, 1961) in the Buffalo Veterans Administration Hospital where he had been a patient for two months.

The son of Harvey and Katherine Hoff Zimmerman, he was born April 6, 1923, in Ridway, Pa. Mr. Zimmerman had lived in Frewsburg for seven years coming from Jamestown where he resided for several years. He was employed as a machinist at Crescent Tool Company for many years.

Mr. Zimmerman was a member of the Samuel Derby Post 556, American Legion; the Local 1561 of the International Association of Machinists of Crescent Tool, and was a member of the U.S. Army Band.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lois Strong Zimmerman; two sons, James and Robert; three daughters, Carol Linda and Sue Ann, all at home; three brothers, Wilbert of Frewsburg, Richard, Jamestown and Norman, Villa Park, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Merle Heald,Bemus Point, Mrs. Jess Kifer, Warren, Pa., and Mrs. Carl Crawford, Frewsburg; a half-sister Mrs. Chester Hajec, Corry, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in the Powers Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M., Thursday. Rev. Arthur J. Vrooman of the Frewsburg E.U.B. Church will officiate. Interment will be in Soliders' Circle, Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 P.M. today and Wednesdayin the funeral home.
