Arminta C. Kifer, 82, a former resident of 2 S. Irvine St., died at 10 a.m. Friday, November 6, 1998, at Kinzua Valley Health Care, where she had been a patient for the past two years.
She was born April 13, 1916, in Halton, Forest County, a daughter of the late Harvey D. and Catherine Hoff Zimmerman and had lived in Warren the past 54 years. Mrs. Kifer was employed at Warren Components for 23 years, retiring in 1978.
She was preceded in death on Sept. 29, 1996, by her husband, Jesse W. Kifer, whom she married Aug. 1, 1959 in Frewsburg, N.Y.; a son Lavern Beers, Jr., in 1975; a daughter Shirley Lou Beers, in 1937; and four brothers, Richard, Norman, Harold and Glenn Zimmerman.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
A funeral and committal service will be held there at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Don Wells, pastor of the Starbrick Community Church, officiating. Burial will be at Warren County Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial donations to a charity of choice.
