She spent 77 of her 87 years in California, and the last four in Morgan Hill. Her move to Morgan Hill filled her life with joy.
She loved the green of winter and spring, she loved the flowers and trees. Many complained of the heavy afternoon "breezes", but she loved to sit and watch the trees sway in the afternoons. She loved her bingo games and those who frequented play.
Her family was an integral part of her life. As the family grew and established individual identities, she was the "glue" that held the family together, and made sure that the love and contact continued. She was a loving wife to two husbands, a fantastic mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Torquato J. Pacchetti, and her second husband Lavern F. Auchue. She is survived by her daughter Jeannette I. Pacchetti; her son Eugene J. Pacchetti; her step-daughter Peggy Myers; her sister Lenora Ridenour; her sister-in-law Myrtle Liversedge; five grandchildren, Laurel Ann Davis, Cynthia Marie Short, Gary Wayne Seavey Jr., Phillip Matthew Seavey, Jill Bohnen; and nine great-grandchildren.
Cremation is being handled by Johnson Funeral Home in Morgan Hill. There will be vault side interment services for immediate family only Apr 29, 2005, at Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent in Hazel's name to the Cancer Foundation. Published in San Jose Mercury News on April 23, 2005
