She was born Feb. 20, 1915, in Jackson County and had a full life. She attended West Virginia Home Mission, Nitro.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Winter; and parents, Willie and Dovie DeWees of Kenna.
Mrs. Winter is survived by her sons, Ovle and wife, Pat, of Dunbar, Eugene and wife, Beverly, of Dunbar, and Keith and wife, Bonnie, of Glenwood; daughters, Evelyn Coleman of Dunbar, Evagene Bowen of Hurricane and Imogene Dinklocker of Dunbar; brother, Delmar DeWees and wife, Geraldine, of Kenna; sister, Geneva Good of Kenna; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Ray Humphreys officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
