Hugues Libergier, born in 1229, who died in 1263 1â Reims, was an architect.
Architect of great talent, including the Church Saint-Nicaise de Reims, whose work began in 1229 and was taken over in 1264 by Robert de Coucy to be completed in 1311. He was buried there, but the Church was destroyed in 1798, during the French Revolution and the slab of his catafalque, sole survivor of the destruction was transferred in the Cathedral in Reims.

It is inscribed on the slab: ' here lies maistre Hugues Libergiers which began ceste Church in the year of the incarnation of MCC and XXIX Easter Tuesday and died in the year of the incarnation MCCLXIII the Saturday after Easter. '' For God, pray for him".
He is represented in city clothes, holding in the Dexter model of his church.
