Issac Johnson Crawford was born to George W. and Lucretia Root Crawford on May 10, 1845. He departed this life March 20, 1928 at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 10 days.
His early life was spent among the hills of Lawrence County near Pinhook. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth McKeaigg on November 21, 1867. To this union were born five children Othymr, Nora, Alalaide, Claudy and Otis. Claudy preceded him to the grave thirty one years ago.
One brother Albert Crawford also survives.
His wife preceded him to the grave five years ago. Since then he has made his home with a daughter. He was of a kind disposition and loved to read.
He is survived by four children, seventeen grand-children, seventeen great grand-children, besides his brother and a host of friends and relatives, who will miss him.
