Born Anna Ahlers in Newton in 1869, she was married to Mr. Borgwardt in 1893 and they located on the farm in Newton. Mr. Borgwardt died three years ago.
Survivors are four sons, Edwin, John and Walter of Newton, Alfred of this city; sister, Mrs. John Carstens of Newton; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home and at 2 o'clock at the St. Johns Lutheran church, Newtonburg, the Rev. Edward Kionka officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
The body may be viewed from Sunday noon until the hour of the services.
