LAWRENCEBURG - Shouse, Stewart "Stu", 84, husband of Ruth Geraldine Bishop Shouse, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at his home. He was born in Anderson County to the late Ludlow and Bertha Searcy Shouse Parker. Stu was a man of great faith and lived a full life of love and service to his Lord. He worked at his craft of auto body repair for over 50 years and owned and operated Broadway Paint and Body Shop in Louisville. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church, a member of Honda Gold Wing Motorcycle Club and one of the founding members of ARCA.

Including his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Linda Boaz Shaver (William), Georgetown, IN, Donna Young, Fairdale, KY, Sharon Martin (Tony), Lexington, KY and Kathy Edlin, Louisville; two sons, William Young (Carolyn), Many, LA and Thomas Young (Sharon), Jeffersonville, IN; two sisters, Dorothy Casey and Georgia Casey, both of Lawrenceburg; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and beloved dog, Susie.

He was also preceded in death by his wives, Nora Hawkins Shouse and Shirley Shouse; a son, Stewart Shouse II (Kathy); two sisters, Joyce Duncan Beatty, Nancy Hutcherson; and a brother, Sterling Shouse.

Funeral services: 1p.m. Thursday at Gash Memorial Chapel, Lawrenceburg, with Bro. Roy Temple Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. Casketbearers will be Tony Martin, Chris O'Bryan, Barry Shouse, Dustin Carkuff, Chad Boaz and Craig Boaz.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.
