JACKSON, Ala. Jack Alfred Fleming, a retired riverboat captain with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, died Thursday at his Jackson residence. He was 66.
Fleming, a native of Clarke County, had been a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Ardeth Fleming of Jackson; three daughters, Delaine Fleming and Wanda Fleming, both of Jackson, and Elaine Schlag of Henderson, Tenn.; a son, Dewayne Fleming of Millbrook, Ala.; his mother, Mary Lou Fleming of Salitpa; three brothers, Cleve Fleming of Blountstown, Fla., Bobby Fleming of Salitpa and Ellis Fleming of Pensacola; and seven grandchildren.
Services were Saturday at Lathan Funeral Home, with burial at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
