Death Of Avery Chambers
At Morganton Yesterday

Mr. Pinckney Avery Chambers, son of Major Pinckney Brown Chambers, of this city, and brother of Messrs. J. Lenoir Chambers and Willoughby E. Chambers, died at the residence of his aunt, Miss Laura Avery, in Morganton, yesterday.

His older brother, J. Lenoir, was with him at the time of his death. His younger brother Willoughby E. had just left last evening.

The deceased had long been severely disabled and his death was not unexpected. He was about 35 years of age and unmarried.

On 31 July, the remains of Mr. Pinckney Avery Chambers were taken to Statesville. They were received by friends and taken to Oakwood Cemetery for burial.

The funeral was held in Morganton earlier in the day. The exercises at the grave were conducted by Rev. A.S. Caldwell, of Barium Springs, in the absence of Rev. C.M.Richards.

Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Evans, Messrs. J. Lenoir and W.E. Chambers, of Charlotte and Mr. Alphonso Avery of Morganton, were here to attend the services.
