Born in Dillon County, SC, May 14, 1920, he was the son of the late Robert Adams and Annie Elkins Adams. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and retired from Dillon Yarn.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary K. Adams of Dillon; daughter, Nancy (Bunky) Townsend of Dillon; grandchildren, Kim T. Rouse and Brant Townsend; great-grandchildren, Chris Rouse and Amber Rouse.
