Larry McCutcheon, 66, passed away Sept. 12, 2013. Born Oct. 30, 1946 in Berkley and raised in Ghent/ Norfolk.

He was the son of Talmage and Madie McCutcheon.

Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Beth McCutcheon Dimun, Terry McCutcheon Nash, and Snow McCutcheon Moore; and six grandchildren, Blake, Michaela, Robert, Raven, Wesley and Brooklyn. Larry has five brothers and one sister, Lavon, Joe, Gladys, Don, Jimmy and Neil. He was loved by a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Plumber by trade and loved fishing, family outings, and had a zest for life. Larry always had a kind word for everyone and will be greatly missed by all. "The light of the American dream dimmed a little and lost some of its glow" with the loss of Larry.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 1264 Great Neck Rd., where the family will receive friends the hour prior. Larry's final resting place will be in Scranton, SC.

He will be transferred to Carolina Funeral Home where viewing will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday and services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Burial will follow in Scranton United Methodist Church Cemetery.
