PITTSFIELD, BERKSHIRE Co., MA - Mrs. Carmelita Margaret (Burke) Desmond, ( 84y ) d: October 23, 1992 - of 557 Crane Ave. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on July 17, 1908, daughter of Joseph and Margaret McColgan Burke, she attended local schools and graduated from St. Joseph's High School. Mrs. Desmond was employed as a clerk at GE, retiring in 1975 with 30 years' service. She was communicant of St. Mary's Church and was a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioner's clubs. Her husband, Harry M. Desmond, whom she married April 01, 1928, died Aug 28, 1984. She leaves a son, Harry F. Desmond of Anaheim, CA.; a sister, Mrs. Anna Mae Johnson of Lenox; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. jar END:
