Ferdinand Long, age 86 of Route 2 Institute, WI, died September 29, 1972 at Algoma Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was born November 8, 1885 in the Town of Sevastopol and was a lifelong resident of Door County.

Mr. Long operated a farm and was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Institute.

His wife, Mary nee Rokuskie, whom he married April 12, 1910, preceded him in death October 12, 1961. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and sisters.

Surviving are five children: George Long of Superior, WI; Ann Simon and Lawrence Long, both of Sturgeon Bay, WI; Ray Long of Florida and Phillip Long of Institute, WI.
Grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

The Rev. Bernard Geimer officiated at services held at 9 am Monday at the Davis Mortuary and 9:30 am at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment in Holy Name of Mary Cemetery.
