Frank Long, age 77, who left here in 1948 to make his home in Stevens Point, died Saturday morning at St. Michael's hospital in that city. He had been in ill health for four years and was a patient in Madison and Stevens Point hospitals since April 16th.
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Long, was born November 16, 1878 at Sturgeon Bay, where he attended public schools and then did general work. He began farming in 1903.
In 1905, he married Miss Margret Meyer of Sturgeon Bay, who died April 18, 1930. He married Mrs. Frank [Etta] Rouer of Arcadia on November 27, 1935 in Sturgeon Bay. He retired from farming in the fall of 1948 and then moved to Stevens Point.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Parish in Stevens Point.
He is survived by his wife Etta; one sister Mrs. Anne Marx of Sturgeon Bay and four brothers: Joseph of Sturgeon Bay; John and Ferdinand of Maplewood and William of Porterfield, WI. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Sunday morning, the body was taken in the Stoneman Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Peter's Catholic Church at Institute, with burial following in the parish cemetery.
