Addell Anthony, 87 of La Marque passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2005, at her residence.

Addell was born February 24, 1918, in Galveston, Texas. Addell was a member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary and the First United Methodist Church in La Marque. Addell was a former member of the Mainland Center Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.

Addell was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Joseph Anthony. Addell is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jodell and Timothy Ferguson of Clear Lake, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, William H. and Susan Anthony of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Donald R. and Suzanne Anthony of Corpus Christi, Texas and James L. and Sue Anthony of Austin, Texas; ten grandchildren, Tammi Campbell, Timmy Ferguson and wife, Donna, Hope Anthony, Stephen Anthony, Adam Anthony, Brett Anthony and wife, Jeanene, Scott Anthony and wife, Barbara, Joe Anthony, Paul Anthony and wife, Sherri and Mercedes Monroe and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, September 16, 2005, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church in La Marque with Dr. Mike Deaton officiating. Interment to follow service at Galveston Memorial Park, Hitchcock, Texas.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
