Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Saturday, December 11, 1954, page 2:
  Mrs. Agnes Elizabeth Sehnert, 74, died at 7:40 p.m. Friday at her residence, 211 Second avenue. She was born March 7, 1880 at Alhambra, the daughter of the late August and Elizabeth (Merkel) Gross.
  She was married to John S. Sehnert March 18, 1902 at Edwardsville who preceded her in death Oct. 26, 1929. Surviving are two sons, Clarence Sehnert, Chicago, Eugene Sehnert, Edwardsville; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Bilyeu, Bradley, Ill., Mrs. Hilda Martindale, Edwardsville, Miss Helen Sehnert, Edwardsville; one brother, Herman Gross, Alhambra; and five grandchildren. One son, Oliver Sehnert, four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
  She was a member of the Salem Evangelical and Reformed church at Alhambra.
  Friends may call at the Straube funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday until 2 p.m. Monday when funeral services will be held from the funeral home with the Rev. R.F. Tormohlen officiating.
  Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wilson Gross, George Sehnert, Burns Gross, Joseph Bud McLean, Louis Henke and Paul Henke.
