James A. Beaty
ARCOLA, Ill. -- James A. Beaty, 67, of Arcola died at 4:15 p.m. Monday in Mattoon Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Beaty was born Oct. 29, 1905, in Jefferson County, the son of William and Sarah Webb Beaty. He married Florence Boyle Oct. 24, 1930, in Jefferson County. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Harold of Arcola; four sisters, Mrs. Ada Darr of Ewing, Mrs. Mandy Capps of Bellerive, Mrs. Bertha Gould of Sadorus and Mrs. Mary Barnes of Champaign.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Beaty was a member of the William Chapel Church of Jefferson County. He farmed in the Arcola community for over 30 years.
