Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Arcola Cemetery, Arcola, IL with Pastor Michael Madden officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:30 p.m., Saturday at the Shrader Funeral Home, 204 North Locust Street, Arcola, IL. The family requests everyone please wear casual attire and a mask.
Harold was born January 18, 1932 in Piatt County, IL, the son of James Anderson and Florence Boyle Beaty. He was united in marriage to Doris Marie Russell on November 14, 1952 in Arthur, IL. She preceded him in death on December 19, 2013.
Survivors include his son: Steve (Diane) Beaty of Hindsboro; granddaughter: Lesley (Dustin) Baker of Arcola; great-granddaughter: Avery Baker of Arcola; great-grandson: Oliver Baker of Arcola; step-granddaughter: Renee’ Fonner of Hindsboro; step-grandson: Trey (Cheri) Fonner of Silt, CO step-great-grandson: Keagan Baah of Hindsboro and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law: Fred Fore and Jim Russell and sister-in-law: Ruth Russell.
Harold served in the United States Army at Fort Bragg, NC. He formerly worked as a truck driver and farmer.
