Mrs. Hildegard m. Nett, 85, a former Town of Schleswig resident, died Sunday at St. Nicholas Hospital, where she had been a patient the past week. Prior to hospitalization she was a resident of Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein.
The former Hildegard Seichter, she was born Oct. 13, 1898, in Charlesburg a daughter of the late John and Anna Wettstein Seichter. She attended St. Charles Catholic School, Charlesburg. On Sept, 28, 1920 she and Hubert Nett were married at St. Charles Catholic Church, Charlesburg. The couple farmed in the town of Schleswig until retiring in 1970. Mr. Nett died April 25, 1980. Mrs. Nett was a member of the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, its Christian Mothers Society, the Apostolate of Suffering, the Kiel VFW Auxiliary, the Kiel Historical Society and the Kiel Senior Citizens.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James (Joyce) Lettenberger of Muscatine, Iowa, and Mrs. Frederick (Shirley) Klauck of Sheboygan; two sons, Marvin of Harper's Ferry, West Va., and Hubert Jr., Cedar Grove; 21 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and five sisters, Mrs. Lorena Ludwig of Chilton, Mrs. Anna Kleinhans of New Holstein, Mrs. Helen Gebhard of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Lucille Landrath of Sheboygan and Mrs. Irene Beumler of Kiel.
She was preceded in death by one son, one grandchild, one great grandchild, three brothers and two sisters.
A funeral Mass will be at St. Peter and Paul Church with the Rev. Francis Kerscher, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
