Kaci, age 12, died at Randolph Hospital. She was a native of Randolph County and a 7th grade student at Uwharrie Middle School. She was formerly a member of the girls basketball teams at Farmer Elementary and Southwestern Randolph Middle Schools. Kaci had particiated in numerous pagents since the age of 3 where she had won several awards, trophies and crowns. September of 2002 she was crowned Miss Sunburst Pre-teen for Randolph County. May 9, 2003 she was a contestant in the NC Miss Sunburst Pre-teen pagent where she received trophies for best smile, swimsuit, modeling, most photogenic and top ten finalist. She enjoyed swimming, riding her four-wheeler, talking on the phone and playing with her three nephews.
She is survived by mother & step-father, Debbie & Curtis Kinlaw, father & step-mother, Greg & Ruby Auman, one brother: Matt, one sister: Kati, Maternal Grandmother, Peggy Williams, Maternal Grandfather, Ray Williams, Paternal Grandmother, Martha Auman, Paternal Grandfather, Truitt Auman nephews, Levi, Christian and Eric Auman.
