Anna A. Scherer, age 94, a resident of St. Mary’s Home, Manitowoc, died Saturday, April 7, 2001 at the home.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Home Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Anna was born February 10, 1907 in Newton, WI, daughter of the late John and Josephine Neilitz Kotowski. She was a graduate and valedictorian from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the Class of 1925. On May 18, 1946 she married Anton Scherer at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Anna was a secretary for the Franze-Schmitt-Kadow Company for 22 years before retiring. She was a member of the D of I, St. Ann’s Society, Lakeshore Bridge Club and a past member of the Green Bay Diocese of Catholic Women.
Survivors include her husband Anton Scherer of Manitowoc along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary’s Home Chapel on Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 9:00 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
