He is survived by a son, Ronald Day of Red Hook; two grandchildren, Mark Day of the US. Navy, Norfolk, Va. and Cindy Day of Cobleskill; six sisters, Mrs. Ellen Staley of Rhinebeck, Mrs. Jenny Kolbinskie of Jacksonville, Fla. , Mrs. Catherine Moss of Rhinebeck, Mrs. Marion Milroy of Rhinebeck, Mrs. Florence Pulver of Red Hook and Mrs. Alice A’ Brial of Red Hook; and a brother, Bernard Day of Kingston.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Christopher's Church. Interment was in Rhinebeck Cemetery. The Red Hook-Rhinebeck Elks Lodge conducted a memorial service Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Donations may be made to the Dutchess County Unit of the American Cancer Society, 80 Washington St., Poughkeepsie 12601.
