Mrs. Alonzo Day, 89, died at her home, 47 Chestnut Street, Rhinebeck, May 17. She had been in ill health for some time. The former Miss Bridget Fox, she was born March 19, 1872, in County Kildare, Ireland, the daughter of Patrick and Mary Coeary Fox. Mrs. Day came to the United States when 16 years old and had lived here ever since. Her husband who was a builder in Rhinebeck died in 1932. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Rhinebeck. Among the survivors is a son Bernard Day of Kingston. Also surviving are two other sons and eight daughters; 32 grandchildren and 65 great-grandchildren, and eight great great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Rhinebeck, where a requiem Mass will be offered. Friends may call at the Dapson Funeral Home, 65 West Market Street, Rhinebeck, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon and evening. The Rosary will be recited 8 p. m. Sunday.
