LOGAN - Dean Lee Carver, 39, of Logan, died at Sunshine Terrace on Sunday, July 30, 2000. He was born in Soda Springs, Idaho, on March 2, 1961, to Denton J. and Carma Peterson Carver.

The family lived in Grace, Idaho, where Dean graduated from Grace High School in 1979. He attended Idaho State University, where he received a Welder-Fitter degree in 1982.

He joined the U.S. Navy in 1983, and was assigned to service on the aircraft carrier U.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Upon returning home, he experienced declining health and was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease. He participated in the work program at Cache Industries for some time, where he learned to really like the special people there.

He entered Sunshine Terrace in 1996, where he has been a bright light with his delightful smile. How he has enjoyed and appreciated the encouragement and company of his fellow residents and staff at the Terrace. The concern and TLC of all who touched his life made his time there one of growing faith and love.

Dean is survived by his mother of Logan; three sisters and three brothers, Dorothy (Michael) Parker of Monte Vista, Colo., Susan Mortensen of Inkom, Idaho, Kathy (Marvin) Pitcher of Grace, Idaho, Cliff (Cheryl) Carver of Layton, Utah, Ronn (Leann) Carver, and Kenneth Carver of Logan, Utah. He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Diane Swanson; and a nephew, Brandon Carver.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Allen-Cranney Mortuary, 420 E. 1800 North, in North Logan.

Interment will be at 2 p.m. in the Grace, Idaho Cemetery.
