Anton P. Staddler, age 99, a resident of the North Ridge Care Center, formerly of 718 N. 9th St., Manitowoc Wis., died Friday afternoon, January 21, 1994, at the North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. William Zimmer at 1 pm. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc, Wis.

He was born January 25, 1894, in the town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, son of the late Christ and Amelia Staddler. He was employed as a butcher for many years and later became employed with Eastman Manufacturing Company until his retirement in 1960. He married Rose Engeldinger on May 5, 1915, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc, Wis. She preceded him in death on October 15, 1978. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivor include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Richard and Bern Staddler, Green Bay, Ted Staddler, Elk Grove, Ill., John and Shirley Staddler, Mesa, Ariz.; three daughters and a son-in-law, Winifred Ziebell, Manitowoc, Miss Mary Staddler, Manitowoc, Eunice and Ed Moseler, Two Rivers; a sister-in-law, Mickey Engeldinger, Manitowoc; 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Niece, nephews, along with other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose in 1978, an infant son, a daughter-in-law, Marsha Staddler; a son-in-law, Edward Ziebell along with brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday and at the church on Monday from 12 noon until the time of services at 1 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday evening led by Fr. William Zimmer.

Memorials would be appreciated to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
