Mrs. Anton (Rose) Staddler, 87 of 718 N. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening in Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday in Parkside Funeral Home and 11 am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Zimmer will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Staddler, nee Rose Engeldinger, was born Dec. 17, 1889 in Bayfield, Wis., daughter of the late Nicholas and Frances Augustine Engeldinger. She was educated in St. Boniface Parochial School, Manitowoc and was married to Anton Staddler May 5, 1915 in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mrs. Staddler was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and St. Ann Altar and Rosary Society of St. Boniface Parish.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Richard and Paul of Green Bay, Ted of Elk Grove Village, Ill., and John of Mesquite, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Winifred) Ziebell and Miss Mary Stadler of Manitowoc and Mrs. Edward (Eunice) Moseler of Two Rivers; a brother, John Engeldinger of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Harlow and Mrs. Stella Bredesen of Manitowoc and Sister M. Nicolota of Holy Family Convent; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. An infant son, a brother and three sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Parkside Funeral Home 4 pm to 9 pm Tuesday, where a prayer service will be at 7:30 pm. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
