Arthur J. Terens, 63, of 1206 S. 26th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday at home.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Anthony Betley will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Terens was born July 10, 1909, at Mishicot, son of the late Oscar Terens and Mrs. Rose Meyer Terens. He was graduated from Mishicot High School. He married Clara Gollata Sept. 24, 1934, at Manitowoc. He was a self employed carpenter and home builder for many years and later worked at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., retiring in 1971. He was a member of Wisconsin Steam Antique Engine Club, Wisconsin Historical Society, Senior Citizens, St. Mary Holy Name Society and Boilermaker’s Union Local 443.

Survivors include his wife, Clara; two sons, Roger, of Manitowoc and John, at home; six daughters, Mrs. Emil (Diane) Cisler, Mrs. Charles (Nancy) Rezachek, Mrs. Thomas (Iris) Jagodensky and Mrs. Charles (Gloria) Thompson, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Liebert (Patricia) Chizek, of Rt. 3 Manitowoc, and Miss Karen Terens, of Las Vegas, Nev.; his mother, of Mishicot; a brother, Ralph, of Two Rivers; three sisters, Mrs. Anthony Gollata and Mrs. Ervin Reynolds, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Giles Shedlosky, of Shoto; and 20 grandchildren. A daughter and three brothers preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. by Rev. Anthony Betley.
