Mrs. Joseph Van Zon, 70, of 936 North 15th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday night at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 o?clock at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Rev. E. A. Radey will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Mathilda Simmer in Manitowoc Rapids in 1882 and in 1902 was married to Mr. Van Zon. Her husband died in 1942. She was a member of the Altar Society of the Holy Innocents congregation.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Senglaub and Mrs. Charles Montague of Manitowoc; son Joseph Jr., of Manitowoc; sister, Mrs. John Nuhs of Manitowoc Rapids; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:30 p.m Friday where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.
