Peter J. Wier, 54, of 2316 Marshall St., Manitowoc, took his life Wednesday night at his home.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc, the Rt. Rev. John S. Landowski officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mrs. Wier was born Aug. 14, 1908, at Manitowoc son of the late Michael and Anna Schroeder Wier. He married Valeria Osesek April 24, 1935, at Manitowoc, and they resided at Manitowoc all their lives. He was employed at Mirro Aluminum Co.

Survivors include two sons, Eugene of Rockford, Ill., and Richard at home; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald Kunish of Denmark and Nancy and Mary at home; four brothers, Paul, August, Joseph and Alois, and two sisters, Mrs. Felix Budnik and Mrs. John Musial of Manitowoc and five grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death May 2, 1956. Three brothers and a sister also preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.
