George W. Wilfer Sr., 86, of 1513 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday, July 29, at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. James J. Stamborski will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Wilfer was born June 12, 1898, at Manitowoc. He was employed as a Welder for 27 years at Mirro Aluminum and then for 10 years at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company, retiring in 1960.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Pitsch; two sons, George and Vernon; a daughter, Marion Dahl; two stepchildren, Maxine Hynek and Richard Pitch; grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Drewek, four brothers, a sister, and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 o’clock to 8 :30 o’clock this Monday evening, where a prayer service will be 8 o’clock by Father Stamborski.
