Mrs. Brookhart of Lone Tree Goes in Death

Lone Tree— Mrs. Mary Brookhart, 72, well known resident of this community, died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City at 1:15 p. m. She had submitted to a major operation one week previous.
The daughter of Michael and Julia Bujewski, she was born Feb. 2, 1875 and was married to Elwood Brookhart on Oct. 29, 1896.
Surviving are three sons. Clarence of Iowa City, Ernest of Lone Tree and George of Iowa City; one step-son, Edward Brookhart of Muscatine: two grandchildren. Shirley and Sharon Brookhart, one step - grandchild, Ronald Brookhart, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Breck of Olympia, Wash. Her husband, one son, Jacob and a sister, Mrs. Jacob Bieber of Muscatine preceded her in death.
The body is at the Marner-Adams funeral home but will be taken to the Ernest Brookhart home later today Arrangements for rites are indefinite pending word from relatives.
