Earl Ness, 57, Newfolden, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1987, at his farm in Holt Township, Marshall County, Minn.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Nazareth Lutheran Church, Holt. Burial will be at Folden Cemetery, rural Newfolden Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today in Green Funeral Home. Thief River Falls, and at the church an hour before services.
Earl Ness was born July 8, 1930, in Battle Lake, Minn., the son of John and Linnea Ness. He moved with his family to Holt Township and attended school in Holt. He farmed near there and was known for his love of horses. He gave community horse trail, sleigh and buggy rides.
Survivors are sisters, Belly (Mrs. James) Berg, White Bear Lake, Minn.; brother, Harold, Battle Lake; and niece, Karen Berg, and nephew, Douglas Berg, both of White Bear Lake.
