MATHEW PERRY
DUNDEE- Mathew Perry of County Route 27, Rock Stream, died Thursday morning at his home. He was the father of Mathew Perry Jr. and Mrs. Fultz of Dundee.
Friends may call at the Haughey – Wood Funeral Home, 119 fifth St., Watkins Glen, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Cecil Roote will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee.
Mr. Perry was born Nov. 7, 1906 in Altay, the son of Charles and Della Perry. He was a lifetime resident of the Altay area. He was a retired mason.
Surviving are his wife Bessie; three sons, David L. of Rock Stream, Mathew Jr. of Dundee and John L. of Rock Stream, five daughters, Mrs. Dorothy House of Montour Falls, Mrs. Mary Stanley of Downey Calif., Mrs. Julia Fultz of Dundee, Mrs Joyce Epperson and Barbara Saucier, both of St. Petersburg, Fla; three brothers, Emerson of Ithaca, Harold of Altay, and Earl of Corning, four sisters Mrs. Flora Hauley of Bath, Mrs. Melvina Moorehouse of Bradford, Mrs. Gertrude Soles of Bath and Miss Blanche Perry of Beavers Dam; 20 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
