JOHN L. REZACH
(1891 - 1956)

John L. Rezach, 64, of 1202A Madison St., Manitowoc, a steel worker for many years, died Wednesday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a long illness.

Funeral services will be at 8:30 am Saturday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Rezach was born June 19, 1891 at Milladore, Wis., son of the late Thomas and Anna Hallada Rezach, and came to Manitowoc in 1915 where on July 7, of that year he married the former Louise Junk. The couple lived a year at Milwaukee and returned to Manitowoc in 1916. For many years Mr. Rezach was engaged in steel construction. He was employed by the McKenzie-Hague Steel Co. and as a foreman supervised many projects in Manitowoc, including the Rahr Malting Co. silos, Manitowoc Portland Cement co., Lincoln High School gymnasium, Holy Innocents Catholic School and both Eighth and Tenth Street bridges. He had been in ill health the past 10 years. Mr. Rezach was past president of Manitowoc Eagles Aerie 706 and a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Boniface Church.

Surviving him are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin L. Jape of Neenah; two sons, Howard and Thomas of Manitowoc; two brothers, Joseph of Two Rivers and Frank of Manitowoc; a step-brother, Charles Kramer of Two Rivers; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Last of Mishicot and Mrs. Mary Blaha of Two Rivers; two step-sisters, Mrs. Maggie Fehring and Mrs. Hjalmer Olson of Antigo and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Friday. The Rosary will be recited at 7 pm and the Eagles will conduct a service at 7:30 pm Friday.
