Mrs. Floyd Ruzek, 45, of 1020 S. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died early Wednesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following an illness of six months.

Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The former Laura Alvord was born April 4, 1915 at Black Creek, Wis., daughter of Guy E. and Andre Belby Alvord. She came to Manitowoc with her parents in 1930 and was graduated from Lincoln High School in 1933. She attended and was graduated from Manitowoc Business College. She was married to Floyd Ruzek July 13, 1940 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Luanne, and two sons, Robert and John, of Manitowoc; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy E. Alvord, of Manitowoc; a brother, Lloyd Alvord, of Manitowoc; and a sister, Mrs. Berlin Schroeder, of Manitowoc.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday, where the Rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus of Council No. 710 at 7:30 p.m.
