Mrs. Addie Alvord, 76, of 1410 S. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning
at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient two weeks.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home Manitowoc,
with the Rev. Armin C. Roekle officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.
She was born Addie Bowlby April 28, 1886(sic), in Ohio, daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bowlby. She was married Jan. 3, 1912, to Guy Alvord. The
family moved to Manitowoc in 1927. Her husband preceded her in death May 1,
1961.
Among survivors are a son, Lloyd, and a daughter, Mrs. Berlin Schroeder, of
Manitowoc; a brother, Homer, of Appleton; a sister, Mrs. Grace Kuenzli, of
Novada, Ohio, and eight grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Florence Ruzek,
preceded her in death in 1960.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
