Mary Virginia "Gin" Beatty, 85, Burlington, WV, went home to be with her Savior on October 6, 2013 at her residence. "Gin" was born on Oct. 24, 1927, in Hampshire County, the daughter of the late William Henry Beatty and Hannah Susan Poland. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four sisters; Minnie Loy, Bessie Leatherman, Violet Staggs and Emma Biser; and seven brothers, Ira, Thomas, Joseph, Marvin, Russell, Welby and Richard Sr. Beatty.

Ms. Beatty lived her entire life in the Mineral and Hampshire County area. She worked for Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Housekeeping and also worked as a Domestic for several years. While she never married, she had her nieces and nephews to help look after and will always be remembered as very kind and loving and, if the right buttons were pushed, a temper. She will be missed by her family and her community. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
