Grace A. "Busia" Check, age 76, of 1239 S. 25th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, July 28, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 1996, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. John Puodziunas, O.F.M. with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Grace was born October 1, 1919, Manitowoc, daughter of the late Ignatius and Alvina Marenda Schultz. On February 15, 1941, she married Edward J. Check at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death June 27, 1992. Mrs. Check was a member of St. Mary's Rosary and Altar Society.
Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law, Michael and Judy Check, Patrick and Cindy Check, John and Patty Check, all of Manitowoc, Dr. Ed Check, Jr., Madison, William and Connie Check, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Corey Eggert, Milwaukee; two sisters-in-law, Helen Schultz, and Delores Schultz, both of Manitowoc. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua, Jenna, Nicole, Ashley, Luke, Tyler, Adam, Brandon, Courtney, Hayden and Logan; along with nieces; nephews; other relatives, and friends. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Victor, Edmond, John, Felix, and Arnold; and three sisters, Josephine, Mary, and Angeline.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home 4-8 p.m. Tuesday where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Deacon Robert Drobka.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
