Alice A. Czekala, age 85, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, May 22, 1999, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday May 26, 1999, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M., with burial of her cremated remains to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Alice was born February 10, 1914, in the town of Newton, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late John and Antonia Murzan Kadow. She married Albert J. Czekala, Sr. on May 23, 1933, in Northeim, Wis. He preceded her in death August 11, 1971. Mrs. Czekala was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Marjorie Czekala, Albert R. and Margaret Czekala, Daniel and Gen Czekala, all of Manitowoc; a son-in-law, Henry Bastianelli, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren, Therese Stout, William Bastianelli, Julie Tittl, Dawn Zabel, Shari Czekala, Steven Czekala, Christopher Czekala, Dana Lippert and Jennifer Czekala; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Constance Mertens, Manitowoc. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lois Bastianelli; five sisters and four brothers.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home. A Prayer Service will be led by Deacon Robert Drobka at 7:30 p.m.
