Siegfried J. Kadow, 83, of 1128 S. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning, February 2, 1988 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 9:30 am Thursday, February 4, at Pfeffer Funeral home and 10 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Eugene Brochtrup with burial to follow at St. Mary Church Cemetery.

Mr. Kadow was born May 10, 1904, at Newton, Wisconsin, son of the late John and Antonia Kadow. He married the former Josephine A. Zagrodnik on June 3, 1930 at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. Mr. Kadow was employed for 32 years at Portland Cement Company, retiring in 1966.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine; a son and daughter-in-law, Chester and Monica Kadow of Manitowoc; five sisters and a brother-in-law, Constance Mertens, Helen Duveneck, Sophie and Lyle Borchardt, Alice Czekala and Frances Kadow, all of Manitowoc; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; nieces, nephews many other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 pm to 8 pm Wednesday. Prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm Wednesday evening led by Father Richard Klingheisen.

One of the prettiest weddings of the early season was that of Miss Josephine Zagrodnik who became the bride of Siegfried Kadow at the St. Mary church 8:30 o’clock this morning with Rev. Father Pociecha performing the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Zagrodnik, 1144 South 23rd Street and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kadow, Newton.

Miss Alice Kadow was the maid of honor with Miss Catherine Zagrodnik and Miss Alice Matczinski as the bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Frank Kadow as the best man and Joseph Frozena.

A wedding breakfast was served to the bridal couple and a dinner and supper was served to fifty relatives and friends at the home of the bride’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Kadow are leaving tomorrow on a two week’s honeymoon trip to Chicago and St. Paul and upon returning will reside on a farm at Newton.

Out of town guests for the wedding include Messrs. and Mesdames John Glisch, Michael Glisch, Alex Glisch, Larry Glisch, Ben Kubera, John Kubera, Anton Krizinski, John Krizinski, Miss Frances Kadow, all of Milwaukee; Miss Clara Kadow of Cleveland and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Derezenski of Stevens Point.
