Caldwell- Services for Buford Eugene Smith; 63, Route 8, Caldwell, who died of natural causes May 25, 1982, at home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Daken Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by the Rev. Don Baldwin of the Followers of Christ Church, Caldwell. Interment will follow at Knowlton Heights Cemetery, Marsing.
He was born March 6, 1919 to Marion and Ruth Smith in Picabo were he was reared and educated. He later moved to the Nampa-Calwell area. He married Effie on June 12, 1946 in Caldwell. Mr. Smith was a staff sargent in the Army Air Force during Worl War 11. He was a farmer for Meridian Wood and worked for Palouse Resharp.
Servivors incluse two sons, Chris and Stan, both of Caldwell; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Lyla) Greene of Nampa, Ela Smith of Eagle and Mrs. David (Lanora) Lacer of Marsing; two brothers Eldon of Escondido, Calif. and Duane of Boise; three sisters, Alice Ange and Bertha Hartley, both of Garden Valley and Shirley Basham of Caldwell; seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
