Barbara was the daughter of Michael Ruzek and Barbara Vagner and was born in Czechoslovakia. She arrived in the US in about 1906 and married Michael Masin in 1907. They had 8 children of which they had 2 named Rudolph, the first of which lived about 2 yrs and the second who lived only days. She said that obviously this was not a good name and that she would never name another child Rudolph. They had 3 girls and 3 boys that survived to adulthood.
