Delaney (Lane) Burns, 87, 1216 Harmon Ave., died in Mercy Hospital Monday at 10:25 p.m.

Born in Oneida, Ky., he was the son of George and Matilda (Barger) Burns.

He was educated in schools of Oneida, Ky. and married Delora Keith in 1923.

Mr. Burns was a life-long farmer in Clay County, Ky., retiring in 1961.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of White Hall Baptist Church, Garrard, Ky.

Survivors include his wife, Delora Burns; seven sons, Boyd, Carl, Lonnie, and Cecil Burns, all of Hamilton; Dennis Burns, McKee, Ky.; Charlie Burns, Fairfield and Vernon Burns, Reily; four daughters, Miss Ida Mae Burns, Portsmouth; Mrs. Franklin (Nannie Fay) Farler, Hamilton; Mrs. William (Daisy) Smith, Peebles; and Mrs. Albert Lee (Bonnie) Goforth, Manchester, Ky; 23 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Isabell Godfrey, Hamilton; Mrs. Maxie Hoskins and Mrs. America Lewis, both of Manchester, Ky.

Visitation is Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 240 Ross Ave., and at Rominger Funeral Home, Manchester, Ky., Thursday, 6 to 10 p.m.

Services are Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home in Manchester, Ky., with burial in Memorial Gardens, Manchester, Ky.
